About the Author

Based in Kyoto, Japan. A ceramic artist, Takunobu Sawada helped his father who is also a ceramic artist since he was a child, and started to create his own work when he was 16. His interests are only in creatures, so the motif of his work is always bugs, fishes, or animals. He looks into to creature thoroughly before he started painting. The bold painting on the simple white slipware is beautiful as tableware and also as a display.
