These pieces were made by imaging “Wildlife human figures” drawn by anthropomorphizing animals such as rabbits, frogs and monkeys. It is a technique that is used for modern manga books but is also taken from Choju-giga, “the oldest manga in Japan” where animals such as rabbits, frogs, monkeys, etc. are drawn as personified reflecting the society at the time.
